Associate Professor of Modern Arabic literature, Comparative literature and Translation at the Tunisian universities since 1990. Dr. Omar Mokdad Jemni received his B.A. of Arts degree (1980), M.A. of Arts Degree (1983), Ph.D degree of Arts (1989) and Habilitation degree HDR (2017) in Arabic language and literatures from Tunisian Universities. Dr. Omar Mokdad Jemni, is currently associate professor in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Sciences at Ajman University, UAE, and a former associate professor at the French universities (Lumières - Lyon II University, Paris-Sorbonne 4 university, Paris-Sorbonne 8 University, and the Institut national français des langues et civilisations orientales à Paris). He is a member of the Master’s, Ph. D. and Habilitation degrees Committee at Tunisian universities. Former Director of languages and translation Department at Tunisian universities. Founder and General Secretary of the Tunisian Comparative Literature Society (TUCLIS) at the Tunisian University. Member of Tunisian, Arab and international academic institutions in Comparative and World literature. He has participated in a number of Tunisian, Arab and international conferences, and has published a number of books and studies in Arabic and French in refereed journals. Also, he has been an arbitrator and a member of an editorial board in a number of specialized periodicals
