title = "Why Do Jordanian Students Prefer Using ChatGPT A Case Study of Higher Education Institutions",
abstract = "Artificial Intelligence has transformed almost every field of field. However, recent advancements like writing tools are another significant addition that magnifies its role. Based on these premises, this study examined the primary factor behind ChatGPT acceptance and use among Jordanian students. The Technology Readiness theory supports the conceptual framework. Data was gathered from 365 university students and analyzed using the Partial least Square-Structural Equation Modelling. Findings showed that Technology Readiness (Innovativeness, Optimism) positively affects the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness regarding ChatGPT usage among Jordanian students. Further, the perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness also positively affect the intention to use ChatGPT among the students in Jordan. Overall, the research supported preliminary assumptions indicating technology readiness is strongly associated with ChatGPT as a significant technological innovation. It is concluded that understanding the importance of these factors is crucial for creating interventions and educational approaches that successfully encourage the adoption and integration of ChatGPT among young students. This recognition allows for developing strategies that effectively support students utilizing ChatGPT, empowering them to excel in a rapidly changing digital environment.",
