title = "Vocal Cords Disorders Monitoring Using Video Magnification",
abstract = "The process of diagnosing and tracking Vocal Cord Disorders (VCD) can prove challenging, given that existing approaches tend to cause discomfort and pain in many patients. Additionally, the requirement for multiple clinic visits to oversee the condition can be burdensome. This study suggests employing Eulerian Video Magnification (EVM) as a key component in the initial assessment and ongoing observation of Vocal Cord Disorders (VCDs). This involves utilizing motion magnification features to examine the frequency and motion patterns of the neck during vocalization. Furthermore, the study aims to incorporate this process into a mobile application that establishes remote connectivity between the patient and the specialist. The main objective of this work is to explore and experiment with a non-invasive method that eliminates the pain of typical diagnosis methods and the vexing of repeating clinical visits for disorder monitoring with the need for only mobile phone cameras and using a pure image processing approach. The proposed approach resulted in initial outputs that could aid specialists in the remote monitoring of vocal disorders in limited cases.",
