Abstract
Machine learning (ML) Democratization is fundamentally changing technology with access to sophisticated algorithms and tools for everyone. The Democratization of machine learning (ML) is a technological transition that has empowered people and businesses to tap into high-powered algorithms. It also helps foster a new wave of Innovation in domains by creating a wide and varied response. This chapter will discuss these advancements and how they have enabled people and companies, both startups and corporations, to access machine learning capabilities without being an expert in the field. Like easy-to- use platforms, open-source tools and no-code solutions within a short period brought machine learning out of data science. It has placed it in the hands of business users by enabling potentially more users to innovate at a large scale. It also features some use cases of democratized ML and its large-scale impact. This chapter dives into leveraging these affordable replicated technologies, from healthcare advancements to sustainability solutions, more innovative business, and retail management. The Democratization of ML leads to creative problemsolving techniques, improved decision-making, and an acute level of participation in the digital economy. The chapter finally considers the challenges and risks of universal access, covering fairness, transparency, and data security. However, these ML techniques come with some consequences. The issues about ethics, regulation, and security that follow the Democratization of ML are also highlighted. Another set of concerns relates closer to social challenges that need to be met to continually advance the continued effectiveness of these technologies, including fairness issues, avoiding Bias, and data privacy concerns. Finally, the chapter dwells on future work, learning, and global competitiveness due to the Democratization of ML and the further opening of new innovative prospects for industries.
