Abstract

To synthesize copper nanoparticles from Lodhra bark and to access its anti-inflammatory activity. Copper nanoparticles that are extremely small serve as antifungal and antibacterial agents. Then, the free radicals of copper disassemble lipids in cell membranes through oxidation to degenerate the membranes. As a result, the intracellular substances seep out of cells through the destructed membranes and it leads to cell death. Inflammation is a local response of living mammalian tissues to injury. It is a body defence reaction in order to eliminate or limit the spread of injurious agents. 1 g of freshly collected Lodhra bark extracted and it is mixed with 100 ml of distilled water thoroughly and boiled for 3 to 5 min in a heating mantle and then filtered by using filter paper in that cuso4 powder is added and kept in a shaker. The copper sulphate was mixed with plant extract and kept in shaker for nanoparticles synthesis. The anti-inflammatory activity was analysed using albumin denaturation assay. The formation of lodhra bark mediated copper nanoparticle was visually observed and conformed with the help of uv visible spectroscopy. Different concentrations of copper nanoparticles have shown dose-dependent inflammatory activity. At 50 micro lite inhibition shower a maximum inhabitation of 81% compared to the standard 90%. Lodhra bark mediated copper nanoparticle was found to be economic and easy to prepare and showed an excellent anti-inflammatory activity. So it can be used for various medical field in future.
