Abstract

In this paper, we investigated the relationship between certain demographic variables and pet ownership among urban families in the Emirates, focusing on 299 randomly selected parents from Ajman who own cats and dogs. Participants completed an online survey, which included a question about pet care expenses with six response options. The survey was distributed through WhatsApp and was available from October 2023 to February 2024. To analyze the data, we employed analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS software, considering a p-value of less than 0.05 as statistically significant.
