Abstract

A set of features and classification metric based on the modulation model for speech recognition are presented. The modulation model (MM) decomposes speech into amplitude and frequency modulated components. Computer simulations are presented that demonstrate the robustness to aging of the MM based features when these features are employed for speech recognition.
