Abstract

The goal of this study was to evaluate the level of social development in rural settlements. To address the stated objective, residents from several settlements were interviewed using a questionnaire. The total sample included 300 individuals. Social development indices were calculated as an arithmetic mean of their component indicators. The findings underscore the decisive role of information and communication technology as an essential driver of development. The practical value of this research lies in valuable data on the most critical aspects of social development in remote rural regions.
