Abstract
This investigation deals with the peristaltic motion of a Carreau fluid in a planar channel by employing long wavelength approximation. Five wave forms are chosen. Explicit solutions of longitudinal velocity and pressure gradient are derived. The pumping and trapping phenomena are properly examined. Comparison is made for the flow characteristics of the various selected wave forms.
