Abstract

The paper presents an optimization method using the generalized Genocchi polynomials to obtain an approximate solution for the fractional axisymmetric flow of two-dimensional incompressible fluids. The proposed method transforms the problem into a nonlinear system of algebraic equations, which can be solved to retrieve an approximate solution. The values of the free coefficients and control parameters are obtained by minimizing the error of the approximate solution. The influence of various parameters on the convergence is analyzed. The numerical examples reveal good results of the proposed method in comparison with those obtained by some other techniques.
