Abstract

In this paper we discuss the scattering of a plane acoustic wave from a semi-infinite elastic plate attached to a wave-supporting half plane. The analytic solution of the problem is obtained using the Wiener-Hopf technique [1] and asymptotic methods. It is observed that the field in the presence of the wave supporting structure is enhanced relative to the field without it.
