Abstract
Bad breath, medically called halitosis, can result from poor dental health habits and may be a sign of other health problems. Persistent bad breath in the mouth may be warning signs of periodontal diseases. Periodontal disease is caused by the accumulation of plaque on teeth. Saliva is necessary to moisten and cleanse the mouth by neutralizing acids produced by plaque and washing away dead cells that accumulate on the tongue, gums and cheeks. If not removed, these cells decompose and can cause bad breath. For immediate relief, herbs are the best. Using these herbs regularly can effectively reduce bad odor from the mouth.
