Abstract
Digital dentistry utilizes any dental technology that involves the use of computer-based technologies consisting of hardware devices and software for examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment. Recently, there has been significant progress in digital dentistry. Various digital technologies and devices include intraoral scanners (IOSs), computerized occlusal analysis devices, digital jaw trackers, virtual reality (VR), computerized dental simulators (CDSs), etc. Utilizing these technologies has increased clinical success [1]. IOSs enable dentists to take impressions, perform diagnostics, or plan treatment without the use of mechanical tools. Various IOSs are available in the market varying in terms of their accuracy [2, 3].
