Abstract
Space-time acoustic wave scattering of a Gaussian pulse from an absorbing-elastic coupling of two half planes subject to heavy fluid loading is studied. The subsonic surface wave (Biot-Stoneley wave) travelling on the elastic plate and an edge-scattered field are calculated. The results for an impulsive source and the field due to an arbitrary transient source are also discussed.
