Abstract
One study suggests that generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and large language models (LLMs) may assist students in developing critical thinking skills, providing feedback, and analyzing their own performance in the classroom. GAI automates certain evaluation processes and encourages involvement and learning in order to meet the administrative and technical constraints that are imposed on instructors. This chapter examines the ways in which GAI might enhance student learning via the use of assessment frameworks. The GPT and ChatGPT programs are used to do this. Qualitative research was carried out to examine the experiences of 17 graduate students who used AI-enhanced assessment tools in a Master of Science in Education course. Students have made significant strides in their ability to assess written work, provide helpful criticism, and resolve problems. Research indicates that GAI might be a useful teaching tool when it is utilized in conjunction with ethics, human connection, and tailored feedback.
