Abstract
This case study presents the experiences of two academics who delivered research-informed teaching (RIT) during lockdown in a leading Northern Irish Business School. RIT, understood as a process of learning about how to do systematic inquiries, is widely acknowledged as challenging for online learners. This case study illustrates how the authors used a theory-based approach to teaching research methods, using educational technology (hence, e-RIT). The Success Case Method evaluation points to meaningful outcomes for students and that the 12 pedagogic strategies highlighted here are transferable in a post-COVID world.
