The world has been exposed to high exposure of cyber threats due to high speed digitalization of key services, business and social life. The recent cyber-attacks are more massive, sophisticated, and devastating as they focus on individuals and organizations and even national infrastructure. The provided paper will offer the general view of cybersecurity in the modern world by commenting on the primary issues and concerns, ethical issues, and new technological trends that impact the threat environment. The present cyber-attacks of 2024–2025 are further assumed to identify the practical risks and the tendency of attacks.
