Abstract

Equipment of telecommunication networks plays an important role in the Operational Efficiency and Service Delivery Performance and Availability. Telecommunication equipment is any hardware used for telecommunication purposes. Telecom towers, switches and routers are a few examples of telecommunication equipment. There are many factors that affect the cost efficiency of these equipment such as energy consumption, cooling cost, switching Base Stations on/off to reduce the power consumption, the use of hybrid energy system and integrating new technologies. This paper represents a review of the cost efficiency of telecommunication equipment.
