Channel timebase errors for Digital Sampling Oscilloscopes

Abstract

This paper describes measurement of inter-channel timing errors for two Digital Sampling Oscilloscope designs. Timebase correction algorithms compensate the main error component ±15 ps but a channel specific residual term of up to ±4 ps remains.
