N2 - The construction industry relies on construction equipment and machinery rental companies to source the required equipment for use in their construction projects. However, the equipment rental industry faces several challenges related to transparency, trust, integrity, security, and operations. In response to these challenges, this research presents a blockchain-based solution for the construction industry aimed at addressing issues related to transparency, tracking, tracing, and trust. The proposed solution leverages smart contracts to facilitate business activities among the stakeholders. Moreover, the system ensures security and restricts access to registered parties only. The results demonstrate that our proposed system is not only cost-effective but also highly reliable and trusted.
