Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry has begun to flourish in recent years. AI technology has found applications across various facets of human society, including the medical field, and its utilization is increasingly expanding within the realm of dentistry. In dentistry, AI helps dentists to provide high-quality dental treatment. AI-based systems can be a supplementary tool in diagnosis, treatment planning, result prediction, and patient-centered care. With the integration of AI, digital imaging, and 3D printing, prosthodontics can provide more precise, durable, and patient-oriented outcomes. Biomaterials are advantageous in an extensive range of medical and therapeutic applications. This chapter presents a comprehensive overview of AI in dentistry and focuses on prosthodontic biomaterials.
