Abstract
An analytical solution for plane wave scattering by two half planes joined by a step is developed. Each half plane and the step are characterized by different absorbing parameters. The problem is solved using integral transforms, the Wiener-Hopf technique, and asymptotic methods. The solution contains an infinite set of constants satisfying an infinite system of linear algebraic equations.
