Abstract

The aim of present paper is to obtain the approximate analytical solution of time fractional Harry Dym equation by using homotopy perturbation method (HPM). The beauty of the paper is error analysis which shows that our approximate solution converges very rapidly to the exact solution and the numerical solution is compared with the known analytical solution which is nearly identical with the exact solution. The results show that the solution of HPM is good agreement with the exact solution. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The results reveal that the method is very effective and simple.
